Brooklyn Pride 2026: dates, parade, and hotels

We have all the latest information on Brooklyn Pride 2026. Brooklyn is home to hipsters, brownstones, and Barbra Streisand. It's a perfect place to have a gay old time: we're kvelling already!

Scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, the event will feature the Brooklyn Pride LGBTQ+ 5K Run/Walk in the morning, a multicultural festival in the afternoon, and the Twilight Parade in the evening. The theme for this year's celebration is "Rooted in Pride".

LGBTQIA+ 5k Run/Walk

Get, set, go! Pride celebrations start off with a 5k fun run/walk at 10 AM in Prospect Park. The 3.1-mile scenic race will be joined by hundreds of runners from across New York City and beyond, promoting visibility and inclusion for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Multicultural Festival

The 30th annual Brooklyn Pride Multicultural Festival starts at 11 AM and will span from Union Street to 9th Street on 5th Avenue. This street fair features various events and activities, from food and merch vendors to free arts and crafts, face painting, and more.

The Twilight Parade

The Twilight Parade, unique as the only evening Pride parade in New York City, will illuminate 5th Avenue in Park Slope, running from Lincoln Place to 9th Street. It starts at 7:30 PM 

Brooklyn Pride History 

Brooklyn Pride's origins date back to 1996, when a group of local residents sought to create an event that would bring visibility to the borough's LGBTQIA+ community. Prior to this, many LGBTQ+ Brooklynites traveled to Manhattan to find community spaces and gay bars.
