Richmond Pride Week 2026 will once again bring together 2SLGBTQI+ community members, families, neighbours, and allies for a warm, community-centred celebration in Richmond, BC.

When is Richmond Pride Week 2026?

Running from Monday, 27 July to Sunday, 2 August 2026, Pride Week features inclusive programming, community events, performances, and interactive activities across the city. This year’s theme, Pride in Momentum, reflects the ongoing evolution of Pride as a movement toward a more equitable and vibrant future for everyone in Richmond.

What happens during Pride Week?

Richmond Pride Week leans into programming that feels local, thoughtful, and accessible. This year, we have a full week of activities for all ages and interests. Highlights include:

Pride Kickoff – Sunday, 26 July, 2:00–5:00pm
An outdoor, drop-in celebration with drag performances from Carrie Dawn, fusion dance, art activities, and information booths from 2SLGBTQI+ organisations at Minoru Centre for Active Living.

Pride Rocks with the Teen Ambassadors – Monday, 27 July, 4:00–5:30pm
Create painted Pride rocks with Richmond Public Library’s Teen Ambassadors at the Brighouse Branch, to take home or spread throughout the city.

Small Town Pride Film Screening – Monday, 27 July, 2:00–4:00pm
A special screening of Small Town Pride at Gulf of Georgia Cannery NHS, exploring 2SLGBTQI+ experiences in communities across Canada.

Pride in the Park & Sassy Jazz Dancing – Tuesday, 28 July, 4:00–5:30pm
Crafts, music, light refreshments, and dance in a community drop-in at South Arm Community Centre. Jazz dancing session runs 4:15–5:00pm.

Love is Strange Film Screening – Tuesday, 28 July, 6:00–8:00pm
Richmond Public Library presents this romantic drama exploring a same-sex couple’s journey through marriage, work, and housing challenges.

Pride Stairs, Screen Printing & Pride Patches – Thursday, 30 July, 12:00–4:00pm / 1:30–3:30pm
Refresh the Pride stairs and create Pride-themed patches with Queer artists at Richmond Cultural Centre Plaza.

Pride Together Outdoor Zumba Party – Thursday, 30 July, 6:30–8:00pm
Join Zumba instructors at Minoru Centre for Active Living for a high-energy, inclusive dance session.

True Voices: Pride Storytelling Event – Thursday, 30 July, 7:00–9:00pm
Personal stories from 2SLGBTQI+ storytellers, followed by a Q&A over tea at Gateway Theatre.

Glitter: LGBTea Party – Friday, 31 July, 3:30–5:30pm
A garden tea party for 2SLGBTQI+ youth and allies, featuring games, snacks, and community connection at South Arm Community Centre.

Pride Paint Night – Friday, 31 July, 7:00–8:30pm
Celebrate love, inclusivity, and self-expression at a colourful paint night for adults at South Arm Community Centre.

The Pride Walk

The Pride Walk remains the signature event of Richmond Pride Week, taking place on Saturday, 25 July 2026. The accessible, one-kilometre route begins on Bayview Street and follows the waterfront, welcoming participants of all ages. Dogs in Pride attire are encouraged, adding a playful and community-driven touch to the day.
