Saint Martin is an island paradise in the northeast Caribbean that manages to blend European sophistication with a laidback tropical vibe. The island is divided between France in the north and the Netherlands in the south.

The French side, Saint-Martin, has the capital of Marigot with great duty-free shopping, while the Dutch side, Sint Maarten, is known for its festive nightlife and casinos in the capital Philipsburg.

Saint Martin is famous for its array of stunning beaches from the popular, energetic Friar's Bay to the famed clothing-optional Orient Beach. There is also excellent sailing, diving, fishing, and hiking across the 37-square-mile island framed by glowing turquoise waters.
