Drake's Cruising

I went there last week, first time in years ! Not much has changed. What has changed is that a lot of the movie-channels don't work anymore, just a black screen. The channels that are working show old and not very good porn. It was not very busy there. I go back when they have changed the movies, whenever that is.

The staff are always polite and fashionable! I really hope they get to open again, i miss the place. Once you open, could you include still water in the machine? =)

Went there on Sunday evening and literally, no one was inside so had to leave. Went there again yesterday around 5 pm and there were around 10 guys. All is fine there, a cheap but I guess that's the appeal? My only problem is that in order to get it, you have to go to the boutique staff and ask them to open the door for you. And free for people under 25 so yay!

Ricardo was very Helpful and friendly as I shopped. He also made me feel very comfortable about going to the Cinema. The cinema was very clean and quiet at 12:30 pm on a Friday. There was a very guy cruising around. Would like to have had more time to check it out. But had to meet friends. Can’t wait to go back. Wish the states had nice places like this.

As of Friday October 5, 2018, they are open every day from 10am to 10pm.

I have been there a few times and usually to great satisfaction. I walk into the shop, pay 11 euros and walk up and wait for someone to enter the cabin next to me - usually within 1 minute. Plenty of action. I walk out with a smile on my face. But two months ago, they had a (small? big?) fire and now it's temporarily closed. It looks like they are rebuilding, no idea how long that will take. If you walk in and see a construction ladder behind the secret staircase, that means it still closed. Too bad, now I have to help myself for who knows how long. Haven't had the nerve to find a different location.

Been there several times, usually around 4pm. IMHO, it's quite clean and decent. Usually there are 2-3 guys walking around for someone like me to walk into a cabin. It seems there are more takers than givers. ;-) However, today and probably for the next while, it is closed. There was a fire and I don't know (didn't dare to ask) when/if it would be reopened.

I went there several times and even had my favorite cabin, that was darker than the others. I like it darker, because it makes the experience more anonymous. This week I went again after quite some time and noticed that there was much more light in that cabin. Even the others cabins seems lighter. Perhaps because of new tv-sets? Anyway, I prefer it darker and not just me, because more men switched to a channel that only showed a black screen. So if you are like me, you now have the choice of a black screen or a screen that shows porn with so much light you feel exposed.

Sunday 29.10.2017 - I visited Drake's since the early beginning, about 20 years ago, usually on a Sunday afternoon. Over the years it was usually exciting and you got value for money. The recent years the quality level went down while the entrance fee went up to € 12,50. During all the years I came here, I NEVER saw anyone cleaning the cabins, while staff were regularly cruising around. He just leaves the mess and is doing nothing about it. Today it was again a big mess, paper napkins, fluids, all over the floor, cabins. When I asked the staff downstairs in the shop why none of them cloud clean up, they said it was considered, but than they should close the shop for a while? So I asked why the staff can cruise around upstairs and not cleaning? This comment was too gross for him and refused to forward my complaint to the management. He advised me better not to come to Drake's anymore. This was really the world upside down. For regular tourists who will go there once or twice in a life time, above will be not a problem, but for me this was after more than 20 years the last time I've been in this mess. For a few euro more I can go to a great sauna around the corner.

I am absolutely delighted to hear that Drake is up and running. I've been there several times and always had a blast. looking forward to the next splurge :)

Poorly attended. Not enough men at peak time. Filthy conditions. 12.50 Euros to get in. Not worth it.

Lots of action. Unloaded on many occasions. Looking forward to the next time.

I've been to Drake's 4 or 5 times when I've been in Amsterdam. I've always had a great time. Broad mix of guys for all types. As with most places, be cautious of pick pockets. They're working the upstairs booths as well.

Wow. That was far more than I was expecting from a cinema type place with booths and gloryholes ! There were more than 20 booths, most had at least one, and lots of them had two gloryholes for non-stop action. Super horny. I was there in late afternoon (15.30-17.00) and it was heaving with guys, so I recommend late in the day for peak action opportunities!

So glad to know that Drakes is still open, I haven't been to Amsterdam for about 8 years now and I miss it. Some people used to say that Drakes was a dump and all sorts of bad things but I have had some fantastic times there, someday I hope to return and when I do I hope to meet again with the big handsome Dutch guy.
