JJ Bar

Open since 1982, JJ Bar is one of Ibiza's oldest gay bars, tucked away at the far end of Calle de la Virgen (now Carrer de la Mare de Déu), the island's famous gay nightlife street. Unlike many of Ibiza's flashier venues, JJ has retained the feel of a traditional neighbourhood bar, with friendly staff, reasonably priced drinks, and a balcony overlooking Ibiza Port and the sea.

Juan, the resident bartender for over 25 years, is something of a local institution, particularly for his mojitos and margaritas. It's a good place to start the night, meet other travellers, or stop for one last drink before heading home.

JJ Bar opens nightly from May to October and on weekends during winter.
