The Mercure offers large, stylish rooms with flat screen satellite TV, minibar, coffee maker, free WiFi. There are 3 bars, 2 restaurants, outdoor pool and a gym, though we think the Olympic Club @ Pathumwan Princess would have more eye candies.
If the location is right but the price isn't, then consider the ibis Bangkok Siam Hotel which shares the same building.
