The Keyhole

The Keyhole is Provincetown’s new hidden speakeasy and cabaret, tucked inside the historic Provincetown Inn. There is no big neon sign announcing it. Instead, you find the unmarked entrance, use the password and step into a small, low-lit room built around live performance, cocktails and a little theatre before the show has even started.

The programme leans into piano-bar sets, jazz, Broadway vocals, comedy, burlesque and cabaret, with the room deliberately kept intimate so the performers feel very close. It is a very different proposition from the bigger Commercial Street venues, more secret club than traditional theatre.

The password gimmick is part of the fun, and reservations are a good idea because seating is limited. If you want a Provincetown night that feels a bit more clandestine, a bit more grown-up and still very gay, this is one of the most interesting new additions to the scene.
