We recommend the Ibis York Centre for many reasons. This boutique hotel has a good central location - within the ancient walls, close to the York train station, and about 15-20 minutes' walk to the Minster and main shopping areas. Guest rooms are modern and tidy, with free WiFi and reasonably comfortable beds. There is a 24-hour reception, and complimentary light snacks and refreshments are available. Friendly service and great breakfast are to be expected.
